“You’re gonna get it.” She looks up to Ms. July, surprised by the continuation of her sudden kindness, “I know you will, Rachel.” Cassandra pulls her into a hug, and although Rachel knows it’s just a friendly gesture, if not a way to show truce, her breath hitches at the unfamiliar contact. Ms. July pulls back and looks at Rachel with soft eyes, trying to convey just how proud she feels without butchering her reputation of being in control at all times, and then quickly walks away - her new cane tapping the ground lightly with every step.
