    If you ever watched Descendants 2 and thought damn, what if this was a YA book instead of a DCOM, then have I got a fic for you <3

    Instead of nostalgia for the Isle, Mal runs away because she's become addicted to magic and fears she'll hurt Ben or her friends. Ben follows her to the Isle and gets himself into trouble, so Mal has to deal with an old enemy she's been trying to forget: Uma.

    Freed from the fatal ultimatum of her mother, Mal is left to enjoy the charmed life of the king’s girlfriend—literally, as charms have become her drink of choice and she’s chugging every second just to stay afloat. When Mal flees Auradon, she thinks she’s saving Ben from her own spiral. But Ben almost lost her once. He won’t do it again, even if it means descending into a hell of the heroes’ creation.
    Same concept as the first one—canon rewrite of the second movie with more depth and maturity. A timeless YA tale of ride or die found family, life-altering female friendships, and beautiful men worth dying (but mostly living!) for.
