Shortly after the release of Cracker Island, the band's good times are derailed by a medical mystery. Murdoc has an existential crisis, Noodle takes it upon herself to save her sort-of parental figure, Russel tries to keep the peace...and 2D realizes it's time to adult.

Summary
Everything is intimate when it's new, until words become worn and the body leaves indents for hands like memory foam, marked even in absence. Once 2D shares a drunken night with Murdoc, they spiral into sharing far more than intended, all under the guise of casual sex. It's ironic to call it no strings attached when 2D's being played like a puppet.

A revelation had come over Stu… something about the bliss he felt during these nights. He didn’t want them to end.. he didn’t want to say goodnight to Murdoc when he left only to watch him close his apartment door and drive away in his Winnebago.. he wanted Murdoc next to him always.
