Summary

After Ava has spent six years playing for F.C. Barcelona, she gets drafted into Arsenal for a two seasons contract. The first person who she meets is the team's legendary captain, Beatrice Young.
The whole world believes this combination to be explosive, but Ava and Beatrice prove everyone wrong. Ava feels attracted to Beatrice, and vice-versa. It's really easy to understand, until it's not.
Ava is willing to break her own rules, but Beatrice is incapable to let go of her fears and past, which ends up with Ava ending her contract sooner than expected, going back to Barcelona, and trying to forget Beatrice.

I look at Ava and wait for a moment, she seems open to speaking to me, she has been honest and I have seen a side of her which is not the scared child she has been with others. I wonder if I can convince her to keep up an age-old tradition.
Beatrice Convinces Ava to keep a journal of her life post halo, to keep alive her learnings for future Warrior Nuns. Beatrice also keeps a log of her learnings, a view into how they both felt throughout pivotal moments together.
Avatrice of course - eventually in line with the show.

“I’m…not entirely sure.” Beatrice had run through this conversation a thousand times in her head. Sometimes, the scenario ended with Ava telling her they couldn’t be friends anymore. Sometimes, it ended in a way that would make Beatrice blush to think about. Either way, she never pictured it being this casual.
“It’s cool.”
