His skin was pale, his limbs slim, his eyebags darker.
Still, being greeted by Robby, treated by him, or even only sharing the same space in that damned building made everything worth it."OR

Summary
Jack was mouthier, more confident, louder- qualities Dennis knew made a good doctor and an excellent ER doctor, of all things. He was Robby's parallel in a lot of ways, the one who could cut in, but bring gentleness when he needed to. He’d seen it firsthand from the quiet corners where he observed, from the fleeting glances of understanding the two older men shared in shift changes.
Jack took another hit, his eyes fluttering shut, and Dennis found himself strangely entranced by the salt and pepper in his hair, in the way the curls flipped behind his ears, and he could feel his own mouth water and his stomach flip at the sight. Which was… something to note. An inappropriate physical reaction to his appreciation. His appreciation for Robby having such… good-looking friends.
It was the secondhand smoke getting to his head, surely.
----
Whitaker doesn't see the appeal of Dr. Jack Abbot. Robby has always seen the appeal of Dr. Jack Abbot.

Summary
“I haven’t really been to a wedding where I’ve, uh… let loose. But, hey,” Dennis shrugged, “maybe I’m doing it wrong.”
“If I hadn’t already agreed to go to this conference, I’d offer to go with you,” Robby said casually. “Show you how it’s done. I’ve got a good track record as a plus-one, too.” Dennis had to say something. To interrupt. To shut this down. But what was he supposed to say? No, you can’t be my plus one, because I lied about my cousin, and there is no wedding, and it seems a little weird to bring a date to a fucking funeral– “Apparently parents love it when you bring home a doctor.”
And just like that, the bubble popped.
“I’m not gay,” Dennis snapped.
He had never hated the sound of his own voice as much as he did right then.
---
Or, Dennis is anxiously headed home for a "wedding" in Broken Bow, Nebraska, the details of which are increasingly fuzzy. Robby's got a medical conference in Omaha that same weekend. So they carpool. Seventeen hours both ways in an enclosed space with no way out except a tuck and roll. This'll go great. -

Summary
Robby gripped the back of Dennis’s shirt like he feared he would float away. The touch was wild against Dennis’s senses. Every point of contact felt electric and all consuming. Robby’s pulse ran like a rabbit in his chest and Dennis could feel it like a live wire sending shocks throughout his body.
His mouth watered and the rawness returned to his gums. His fangs itched for something soft to tear into. His fingers pressed into Robby’s lower back as he exhaled against the old man’s chest. For the first time since he had been hit, the vampire felt no pain- only eagerness.
______________Whitaker dies on the job and Dr. Robby is perplexed when no one seems to remember. Even more so that, according to everyone, Dennis went home after his shift ended- alive and well…

Dennis is having the worst couple days of his life and literally cannot catch a break for one second.

Summary
Dennis had never had the best of luck, due to the fact that he was the fourth son of the fourth daughter, who herself was the fourth daughter of the fourth son.
So, it didn't really surprise him how bad his first day at the Pitt went. Having crushed his finger under a patient was nothing. He couldn’t remember the number of times a cow had stepped on his fingers while playing on the ground as a child. Being repeatedly soiled by fluids, may they be blood, piss or worse? Animals didn't care about other people's feelings. Losing a patient? He had grown up on a farm. Death wasn’t unknown. Death was an odd uncle, always lurking around, waiting for the opportunity to snatch the cutest sheep, the gentlest horses, the weakest neighbors who couldn’t handle the field.
His secret identity being found out by Trinity Santos, of all people? Well...
Spider-Man had fought worse, hadn't he?

Dennis Whitaker is Spider-Man, shocking right? Dennis is also struggling with his new abilities, and his ‘brand new’ crush on his two super hot attendings. The focus is more on his powers, but that could change as he struggles to keep his powers hidden. Spoiler, it’s pretty hard for a one Dennis Whitaker.

Summary
For all his reflexes and uncanny intuition so graciously imparted from that stupid supernatural spider, even he was susceptible to a coward’s plight.
“Ah, fuck!” His strangled cry rings out in the cold night as the bullet tears through the right side of his torso. Dennis stumbles to his knee, vision blurring as he struggles to keep his body upright. “Oh, fuck, fuck-“
The perpetrator makes it all of three steps before Dennis, with herculean effort, hurls a web in his direction. His left arm is thrown out with a force greater than necessary and the impact of the sticky substance slams the criminal up against the grimy wall of a nearby building, the brick cracks loudly in tandem with the man’s ribs and the gun he had fired goes skittering across the concrete. Certain the man wasn’t going anywhere, Dennis doubles over, groaning as he presses a hand to his injury.
“Fuck you man.”

Summary
"What about him?" Abbot pointed at the young man from the other side of the ER as he leaned over the hub’s counter.
Robby peered up above his glasses before returning quickly to the tablet with a scoff. "No way."
Jack looked at Robby, up and down, with a quirky smirk. "Why not? You are obviously thinking about it yourself, taking how you can't keep your hands off of him..." He nudged.
"No one from work." Robby recited, as it is one well-intended rule between them. He put the tablet away and took his glasses off before leaning next to Abbot, looking at Whitaker's smile.
Abbot stared at Robby, then moved to Whitaker as well. "You *can't* say that and *keep* looking at him with those eyes." He chuckled.
Robby sighed, rubbing both his hands on his face. "I know."
