Summary
Steve realizes too late that he has fallen for Eddie. As a Hail Mary move he writes a letter for Eddie to take with him as he leaves to tour with his band.
Steve never hands over that letter.
First Steve didn’t send the letter because he felt like he was a loser who peaked in high school. He felt that his confession would either make one of the best friends he had extremely uncomfortable with being around him or hold him back from a brighter future away from Hawkins.
So he was determined to not be a loser who peaked in highschool.
After almost 10 years and MANY more unsent letters collecting dust in a box Robin keeps safe in her closet— things come to a head.

Summary

Steve has been keeping a big secret: he’s a werewolf from a long line of werewolves. Only problem is, he’s a complete failure at it. He can’t even shift, but it does make him a bit harder to kill, so he thought he’d found his perfect niche keeping the kids and his secret safe after ‘83. With their plan to end Vecna only half successful and Eddie bleeding out, he has no choice but to reveal the truth and try and convince his friends that werewolves are real. That would be enough of a task for anyone, but to his shock, his heritage has an even bigger surprise in store, and of course, there’s Max to worry about too.

Steve stares at him intensely, and Eddie is picturing the chains snapping in his head as Steve whips around, swallowing his hand whole. But it doesn't happen. Instead, Steve moves hesitantly, and then he's leaning against his hand, like he's hungry for the contact.
Eddie is shocked into silence, but he pressed back, hands moving up to rub Steve's ears. Steve makes a noise, almost like a purr, and his eyes open. Eddie is staring right into them now - bright orange and powerful, like the stars have collided into one mass inside his eyes. There's no anger in them now, just silence and what Eddie could only describe as pain. He doesn't know how he knows it, but he can see Steve inside them now, looking back at him.
Eddie makes a decision then. A very, very stupid one.

Summary
Between the disappearance of Barb in his backyard, and the despair of thinking Nancy had been cheating on him, the heat symptoms hadn't even registered. Steve could explain away the agitation because of the stress. The aches and pains from getting his ass handed to him by Jonathan Byers. Hell, even the panic when faced with a faceless hellbeast drowned out the rest of his natural instincts to hide away from everything.
Then, it kept happening. Bad things kept happening to him. Worse and worse, until Steve realized he was a senior in high school, heartbroken, alone, and unpresented.

Robin sighs next to Steve, but he pays no mind to her softly muttered “Oh, dammit.”

Summary
Hawkins, Indiana is thrown into a panic when High-school prince, Steve Harrington goes missing. With no trace of what happened to him and no hope that he'll ever be found, he suddenly reappears naked in a snow bank. One Eddie Munson may or may not be curious as to what happened all while trying to figure out what is wrong with the white female wolf near his trailer, who by the way saved his life.

Now Eddie wasn't much for gossip, nor was he a fan of trains. What he was very into though was conspiracies. Was JFK really assassinated? Or was the CIA trying to cover up their asses for the Bay of Pigs situation? Questions like those intrigued him in ways that thousand-piece puzzles didn't. As conspiracies could be interpreted in any way you wanted them to, unlike puzzles that were made to create only one understanding and one understanding only. The process of getting to the finished product always the same for each puzzle. Which is how he found himself infatuated with the disappearance of one senior high king, who now would be a super senior high king. Forced to repeat the year that he had missed, along with Eddie who had been there the entire year but just flunked all of his classes.

The fact that the guy who was once so yappy he regularly delivered full-blown speeches on cafeteria table tops had become basically non-verbal, reduced to growls and hisses and purrs to communicate.
And then there were…the more embarrassing things.

The wolf stays where he’s at and for a moment Eddie feels extremely stupid for trying to communicate with an animal but then the wolf stands up- and woah he’s way bigger up close.
Eddie watches as the wolf steps closer and giggles at the wet cold feeling of his snout sniffing at his hand. He brings it up to pet through the wolf’s unbelievably soft fur and marvels at the glisten of the golden-like color even in the moonlight. “You do too, huh?” Eddie giggles, scratching behind the wolf’s ear as he sniffs at Eddie’s face. “I think I’m gonna’ call you Ozzy.”
Ozzy huffs and Eddie laughs.
“Yeah. Ozzy suits you perfectly.”
