Ooooh I love this chapter and I love this arc. (And I love Arc). I’ve never thought of the political knowledge that Jon can impart on a savvier version of Ned. That was his true weakness in canon, and one of Jon’s real strengths. I’ve seen plenty of SI fics where they bring in the engineering, but not enough fics where the world changes the character. That’s what makes your writing really special. The world, and the story, are changing Chen/Ned. He’s learning and growing, changing the world and also getting changed by it. This has been really fun to read. I also really like your grasp of characters. Lyarra, Bob, etc feel like people, and it’s fun to see the depth you put into them. Thanks so much for writing!!

What a fantastic story! It’s rare to see a Star Wars fic that nicely captures the feel of the Jedi. Your Luke feels wise: just but not sanctimonious, powerful but not overpowered, caring but not blindly idealistic. I really enjoyed reading your take on Luke. Then there’s the GoT characters. I think you really nicely master the world and plot, and have a really fun divergence from canon. I can’t wait to read the rest, but even so far it’s a 1% fanfic I’ve read. Wonderful writing, and thanks so much for sharing

I love the Flash chapters so much. They always make me so happy. Like “oh no these fools are going to realize I’m a massive imposter” he says, right before ending the Crackclaw point rebellion in single combat, or foiling the plot to burn down Braavos. I think he’s my favorite character in this story.
A great story overall! Wonderful worldbuilding, but ends a bit meh. It goes to show the narrative weakness of the author. They’re kind of like Dune- unbelievable world building and plot, but just ok to good interpersonal narrative artist, so the ending lacks that “whump” of a great close. Without a doubt a phenomenal fic though, but the above is what keeps it from a true 5.

Very, very fun read. I skipped most of chapter 1 as I didn't really care about the justifications of the time travel. The only mark against this is that Jon is a Mary Sue, but that was kind of the point of the story. Otherwise the plot is super, super interesting, and it's cool to see how Jon continually rejected the "easy" path in the beginning, which led to greater and greater rewards at the end. Plus, there was really neat canon divergence from small ripple effects, and the ending is very satisfying. A great story!

In truth, it would be almost funny, if he were not so numb. He saves a city, kills a madman who happens to be his king, and gets caught fucking his sister, all in very short order. The noble hero is then forced to marry a cow of a girl as punishment for his crimes. It’s the sort of humorous tale mummers might sing about, or act out in a play to the roaring approval of the audience. Jaime would laugh, were he not the center of it.
