“Your apple tart was nine Shields,” the cashier says to the Trailblazer, and holds out her hand expectantly. March fumbles around for a moment to remember her total before preparing her own payment in anticipation. That’s the issue with being part of the Nameless—too many different currencies to keep track of as they track their way through different galaxies! It’s only after the Trailblazer gives her a blank look that the cashier furrows her brow and elaborates, “9 Shields? For the tart? That was what you ordered, yes?”
“Shields are the currency here on Belobog!” she whispers furiously, elbowing them in the side. “Mr. Yang and Himeko gave us some before we left so you should definitely have some!”
“Ah—Yes, nine Shields,” they say, but March feels a sinking feeling in her stomach at the continued blankness in their expression. “That is definitely true.”
The Trailblazer's unique background has left them with some very interesting gaps in their common sense and knowledge. Everyone around them starts to notice this, but most are too polite to say anything about the person with a bat and the equivalent of an atomic bomb's worth of power stored inside them.

Summary
It isn’t as though Aventurine feels a certain way about his body. Calling what he feels ‘insecurity’ wouldn’t necessarily be correct. His body is a vessel to provide pain or pleasure, capable of being pushed to the limit and the final arbitrator on whether or not he lives or dies. At the end of the day, it is only an extension of his soul, but not its essence itself. If he needs to expose himself like this for whatever reason, he’s seasoned enough to distance himself from his body and do what needs to be done.

She hands him two credit cards and a burner phone. “I got a new Script for me and the girls, so we’ll be heading out as soon as I can rouse them out of bed. We might be away for a week or so, so I need someone to keep an eye on Bladie. Could you do that for me?”
