Summary
The Phoenix symbolizes renewal, rebirth, and resurrection, emerging from the ashes of its own fiery death to be reborn anew.
This is what Robert Robertson the Third tried to see himself as: A Phoenix. After losing his identity and job as Mecha-Man, he has a chance to reemerge as Dispatcher of the notorious Z-Team, a group of dangerous criminals given a shot at being heroes.
And, while everyone else regards the Z-Team as a dumpster fire, a nuclear bomb just waiting to be set off, Robert sees something else—he sees pain, understanding, and above all, an intent to be better. He sees people who had always drawn the short stick, who bet on losing cards, and who were always regarded as less.
What Robert sees... is a group of Phoenixes.
And he'll be damned if he won't stick by every one of them, regardless of what anyone else thinks.
tldr:
Robert is highly emotionally aware and fiercely protective, refusing to give up on anyone in the Z-team, even when the stakes are high and tension is rising. They're all a bunch of fuckin' idiots, as Chase would say, but they're undoubtedly his idiots, through and through. Blonde Blazer, oddly enough, supports this change of pace. -

Summary
"Because you're the only man in the world to be with blonde blazer and still think you deserve more."
Those words hang heavy over the three of them in the aftermath of Shroud's ambush on SDN and subsequent arrest. The realizations and ramifications that result from those words set them on a perilous path towards something incredible, if they can navigate it. It won't be easy, but if the past month has proven anything, its that Mecha Man, Blonde Blazer, and Invisigal, heroes all, are up to the task.
They hope.

Summary
“Okay. Um. My parents are expecting me back home for Christmas.”
“… that’s it?” Courtney asks, scoffing. “Okay, so? We won’t break anything while you’re gone if that’s what you’re worried about.”
“That’s not—” Mandy starts, before she sighs. “They want to meet you. Both of you.”Mandy brings Robert and Courtney home for Christmas for the first time to meet her parents. And her siblings. And their kids. Somehow it's even more chaotic than a day at the SDN office with the Z-team which is, you know, saying something.
Established relationship, alternating POV.

Summary
God help me, I was holding a nose, but this was what had to do. I jerked the knife-point across the base, and it peeled away with a solid tug. Not much worse than ripping apart a cold chicken, only rotten, and it was someone's goddamn nose.
I dropped the lump into the burlap sack, hooked it into a loop of my belt, and got to my feet.
"Look at that, you and I each made fifty cents," Huntara said with a chuckle. "Ka-ching!"
1895. Mankind is crucified upon a cross of gold.
Catra, the animal, la putain-de-bete, has nothing to complain about. After the Panic, even perfectly respectable folk would happily beg for a job as a scullery maid at a classy sporting-house like Madame Beatrix D'Ombre's Maison du Grenat Noir. Instead, the lazy mongrel wants nothing more than to leer at the Madame's finest filly: the blonde-haired blue-eyed beauty, Adora Foerstvaettir. Surely someone would pay something for her, but she refuses to cooperate---as if she has any dignity in the first place, ha! So, it's 14 hours a day, every day, until those debts are paid.
Unless, of course, an unlocked door leads to the fall of American democracy?
