During 2020 I found a picture of KevEdd on Instagram. It took me a hot second to even recognize the pair even though it was so nostalgic. I then found myself falling down a rabbit hole of KevEdd fics. None of the ones I really loved were super recent, but then I found AO3 and found out I wasn' t the only one thinking about these two kids! I love the idea of those two getting together and bringing out the best in each other. Sooo... Just decided to try to have fun with characters from way back when.

Exactly one week after a person turns 15, the possibility of clue marks manifesting increases.
A clue mark is a mark that links a person to their soulmate and they only appear when both people are at least 15.
First one: age difference
Second one: gender
Third one: a single interest
Fourth one: defining trait (physical)
Fifth one: eye color
Sixth one: hair colorThen from there, the person’s initials will appear if the two haven’t found each other.
In some rare cases, a song can be heard in the heads of both people involved to help bring them together. Most believe this isn’t true given how rare it is.
Enter Edd, receiving his first clue mark one week after his 15th birthday.
And Kevin getting his first the same day at the age of sixteen.

Summary
Sometimes the biggest difference is a person in the right place in the right time. And this is correct for Scott who was there before Avid and Owen went to the Crypt were Avid could have faced a very bad fate. Instead Owen noticed their relationship, the change they both went through and plans changed. Now the only thing left is for Scott to make piece with the fact he does feel something for Avid and go down with it.
As of Pyro... It's a story for another time.
