Summary
Eddie Diaz has nightmares (surprise, surprise). This isn't a new thing, in fact he's struggled with nightmares most of his life. But the last few months have made them so much worse.
Ever since the tsunami.
He wasn't even there, didn't even know that Buck and Chris could've died, and he wouldn't know.
Eddie is dealing with the nightmares the same way he deals with all problems - by ignoring them. This works, until it doesn't. He is coping, until he isn't. Until one night, one nightmare is so terrifying, so believable, that he can't quite convince himself they are alive.

Whenever he says he's not feeling anything, that's when Dr. Sharon pulls out the fucking cards.
Roy can't fucking stand the fucking cards. They're plain white with plain black text, each displaying the name of a different emotion, and he's supposed to go through them and decide whether he's feeling each thing or not. It's fucking stupid, it makes him feel like a fucking toddler, and worst of all, it fucking works.

Eddie brought his other hand up to gently caress the side of Buck’s face as he peered into Buck’s eyes. The movement made the light glint at something on his hand and Buck flinched back, staring at the wedding ring sitting on Eddie’s fourth finger.
“You’re married.” Forget the pain in Buck’s head, that was like a knife to Buck’s heart.
“You don’t remember?” Eddie sounded pained.
