Mira looked hungry, so Celine fed her.
There are a few reasons for this. She’d been rather insistent that she needed the manilla envelope sitting on her desk in her office, needed it delivered as soon as possible to the apartment she keeps in Seoul for the days she spends in Sunlight Entertainment HQ, and it had to be one of Huntrix to bring it to her. It just so happens to have been Mira who answered.
Mostly, though, Celine feeds her because she aches for the days when all her decisions were so simple.
It's hard to see yourself reflected in a younger generation. It's harder to tell long-buried secrets-
-especially what happened on the day Rumi was born.

The words tumbled out of her mouth before she could stop them. "Y' wanna know a secret?" Nancy giggled, her eyes aching dully. She knew she should stop talking, at this point, but it was as if she couldn't move her own mouth. "As to why I broke up with Jonathan, I mean?"
"Why is that?" Robin asked through her own giggles. Once one of them started, neither of them could stop. Despite the laughter, though, she seemed genuinely curious, laying her cheek deeper into her palm, her lips stretching upwards to meet it.
"I kinda wished he was a girl." And then Nancy burst out in full-body cackles, like it was the funniest thing she'd ever heard herself say. As if she was ridiculous. A secret she had kept bottled up for years, out in the daylight so suddenly. Almost involuntarily. She couldn't help but laugh, and so she did, until tears began to well up in her eyes.
When she finally caught her breath, she realized this time, Robin wasn't giggling back at her.

He knew he should have spoken about his feelings and how he felt like he wasn’t giving Danny as much as he deserves, but he didn’t have the heart to go back in front of the crowd and say it out loud. Duke was lucky enough that it was during the afternoon, so he didn’t have to take anymore classes during that time. ‘I’m sorry, I promise I’ll make something better.’ Duke thought as he wiped a few tears from his face and finally made it back to the manor.
