He’s familiar with the space Viktor takes up, standing next to him by the blackboard or sitting down at the tables. He knows how Viktor will shuffle underneath Jayce’s arm to correct a mistake in his maths, or rewrite a messy theory while Jayce prattles on about the next steps. He knows the surprising sturdiness of Viktor’s cane, as it smacks at his ankles when Jayce doesn’t make room fast enough.

Summary
Luke falls into a trap set by the vengeful Prince Xizor, who has long wanted to punish Darth Vader for his sins against his home planet. Luke isn't quite as easy to capture as Xizor thinks, but Luke's plan is only partially successful and it will be many years before Vader discovers what happened to his son.
“If you think Darth Vader will care what happens to me, you’re deluding yourself. Last time I saw him he tortured my friends and cut off my hand.” Luke's mouth was dry as he spoke and it wasn’t just the heat of the carbonite freezing chamber. He realised that he genuinely didn’t know if Vader would care.

Summary
Still unable to forgive Anakin Skywalker, whom she knows as the Sith Lord Darth Vader, Leia is sent back to the end of the Clone Wars as a 14-year-old. Due to being Force sensitive, she is found by the Jedi and is sent to become Anakin's new padawan, much to the annoyance and disappointment of Skywalker, who is still disturbed with Ahsoka Tano leaving the Order. Although not proud of the idea of being close to her biological father, Leia nonetheless becomes his new apprentice. Though having a tense start, as they fight the Separatists across the galaxy, they start to learn more about each other.

Summary

“Lord Vader-“ a nervous looking officer starts as the ship takes off.
“No pleasantries,” he growls. “Who was it that attacked me and destroyed the Death Star?”
“Er.” The officer consults a datapad. “We’re still gathering preliminary reports, but it is our understanding that the pilots who shot you are a smuggler named Han Solo and a Wookiee named Chewbacca. We have Imperial records of Solo, he’s a deserter who liberated the Wookiee before he left.”
“And the pilot who destroyed the Death Star?”
“He and a-“ he checks the datapad again. “Ben Kenobi contracted Solo and the Wookiee to take them towards Alderaan from Tatooine, we believe they were in possession of the R2 unit and the protocol droid belonging to Princess Leia. A… Luke Skywalker.”
What?
If Vader’s stomach functioned normally still, the bottom would have dropped out of it.
The officer flies backwards with a choking sound, pinned to the wall of the shuttle. Vader advances on him, seething.
“What did you say?” He demands. “What did you say?”
“On Tatooine-“ the officer chokes. “With Kenobi-“
“His name!” Vader thunders. “His name!”
