Obi-Wan would do anything to protect his people, so he and Fox had very easily come to an arrangement that did not need to be verbalised to be obvious.
Fox would forgive the Jedi for certain breaches, extend his protection to them and offer him a few privileges, and in return Obi-Wan would provide him with a relationship as perfect and idyllic as possible to keep him happy.
It was a win-win situation.
The only problem Obi-Wan had very quickly identified with this arrangement was the following, and it was inevitable: Fox's interest in him would not last forever.

That remains on Luke's hands, but Obi-Wan will walk out of that damned place in one piece. So anyone who hates that please don't even start this story. Solitary and quiet in his older days, when in his younger he held the fate of the galaxy in the palm of his hands. A fate he sealed by his mistakes. Something that he was unable to forget despite his efforts for more than a decade. The nightmares persisted. The balance between the Light and the Dark was perilous at times. Two years ago he left his isolation to help the daughter of his brother... Now a series of events are going to test him once again as he will be forced to take the lead in a battle against monsters who take advantage of Force Sensitive children. Will he allow himself to be engufled by his anger? Will he be alone in this endeadvor? Will the ones who matter allow him to be drawn down a path, he couldn't possibly recover from?

Instead of going to Mandalore, Maul kidnaps Anakin and spends months torturing him to get his revenge on Obi-Wan. Anakin’s family becomes more and more desperate to bring him home, especially when the powers that be do not appear all that concerned about him. Even after he’s rescued, it will be a long road to recovery.
Meanwhile, the Republic is not recovering from the war, civilians and soldiers alike losing faith in their institutions and leaders. Palpatine may have been the ringleader, but he was not the only killer clown in the Republic’s circus of a government.

Traveling to the very distant planet of Pagora, Anakin intends to rescue Obi-Wan. But the journey is long, and when he gets there, he finds that Pagora has a thing or two in common with Zygerria and Tattooine.Meanwhile, Obi-Wan is struggling as he finds himself once again captured on a slave-planet. However, unlike on Kadavo, help is not around the corner. The Jedi temple is weeks away, if they can even afford to send help this far out... In all honesty, Obi-Wan probably should have excused himself from this mission as soon as he had felt the migraine coming on. But troops were already spread thin as it was, and Obi-Wan didn't want to be sitting out from this campaign and essentially be leaving Anakin to lead the mission in charge of both his own and Obi-Wan's men if it turned out to only be nothing more than a mere headache. So he had decided to try to brush it off and push through despite the telltale haziness at the sides of his vision, hoping that it would remain as just a minor annoyance.
