Summary
The war ends. Darth Vader collects what he deems is his.
Fives, alive and aware, witnesses the aftermath as Vader gathers the remnants of the 501st, 212th, and the Coruscant Guard. He endeavours to finish what he started; to free his vode from their inhibitor chips, whilst trying to remain undetected by the Sith Lord onboard.
Following the discovery of a few unexpected captives and a somewhat-cobbled-together plan that promptly goes sideways, Fives' joke of shoving Vader out of an airlock finally comes to pass.

(Appo convinced the Force itself to send him back to the beginning of the Clone Wars, when Fox and Anakin are both still alive. Now he has to make that count for something.)
