Professor Pankratz was genuinely surprised that he loved teaching as much as he did. He'd been the band director at Oxenfurt for close to forty years now, and it was... nice. He loved teaching students who actually wanted to learn to play. Concerts were a different beast as a director than as a performer, however. They sure were fun though!
"Play us something nostalgic?" Geralt asked, voice soft and filled with understanding. Today had been about celebrating the new, the current, the modern. Tonight would be about honoring the past, the ancient, and their history.

Summary

Summary
Severus Snape doesn't think Albus' plan to martyr Potter will work out and knows nothing of the secret setup to give Harry a chance to live through the killing curse a second time. He decides that what they really needed was to start hunting the Horcruxes years ago instead of waiting for children to do it for them. He sends back his private notes and everything needed to brew a potion to strip off the spells that are restricting his behavior. He expects that his younger self will receive the information in 1992 at best.
On the Summer Solstice, 1985, a listless Severus Snape is surprised by a generous and lucrative gift from his future self.

Summary
(A/N: This story was until 29.12.2024 called "The Grey World". "The Grey World" will soon be the title of Part II of "The Grey World Series". I hope this dosn't cause confussion, and if it does I apologize, but the name change was deemed necessary.)
The Horcrux hunt was cut short when Ron left. Not long after, Voldemort showed up and took Slytherin's locket from Harry and Hermione. The Wizarding World went into full war. Harry and Hermione stay together through it all, the loss of friends, allies and hope. Still alive and fighting, but their society is collapsing, so when Harry gets a unexpected treaty offer, it's hard to refuse.
This story will begin at the end of the second Wizarding War and will therefore mention a lot of what comes with a war, death, trauma, loss, pain, torture, rape and more. But as of this moment I do not know how explicit I will make it, so just be warned. There will also be foul language and sexual acts, some with dubious consent, at best.
