“Weasley!” Michael Corner piped up from the little cluster of Ravenclaw students, smirking in their direction. “I didn’t know you had another relative joining us this year.”
“What?” Ron asked, turning in confusion.
Harry and Hermione looked as well. Maybe Bill had stopped by for some reason? Or - Merlin forbid - Percy? But the boy walking into the hall with hair more orange than even Ron’s certainly wasn’t a Weasley and Ron rolled his eyes at Michael, calling back, “Not every ginger in the world is a Wesley, you twat.”
The other man was hanging back on his own by the entry, as if he wasn’t quite sure where exactly he belonged. Harry was certain he wasn’t a fellow eighth year, obviously, but he certainly looked about the same age as them. He knew most of the sixth and seventh years too, so that didn’t offer any more answers. Plus, he realised belatedly, the other boy wasn’t wearing any House colours.
Then another unfamiliar man stepped into the hall, throwing an arm around the ginger’s shoulders with a blindingly bright grin and steering him further towards their group. Harry was openly staring now, his attention thoroughly captured by the two strangers and the taller one’s brilliantly blue hair.

Hair and a smile like sunlight, laughter and cool, clear water splashing. No matter how melancholy he felt, his precious son, his always happy Kazui, never failed at placing a smile upon his lips. He'd only just turned four last April, and though it was now midsummer, they were significantly further north and the loch water was still too cold to be pleasant. Kazui clearly didn't care, his love for water stronger than the chill as he played, his father watching him carefully as he explored the shallow beach.
A summer holiday. That's what this was. But being in this place… he couldn't help but feel like he belonged here. He finally felt like he could breathe.

Ggio watched him critically, as he had the entire time. It was the real reason Sir Tensa had approved his training, he was disarming and unerringly observant. His lips quirked a bit as the rest of the puzzle came together. It was adorable, really. And he couldn't blame the prince at all. Shiro was utterly devoted to him and devastatingly sexy. He'd also been his personal guard for nearly a decade - and he'd really said nothing? Ggio quickly decided that this foolishness wouldn't continue, especially if Ichigo’s bride-to-be gave her blessing. She likely already knew but Ggio would find out for sure.
And then they'd help the gorgeous idiots find their way to each other.

Now that he was here, Ichigo knew he was home.
The sensation of heavy reiatsu around him was novel and exciting and everything he remembered it being. It had been three years since he had been in the Seireitei for the war against the Quincies - far too long, if he had anything to say about it. He obviously belonged here more than he had ever belonged anywhere else.
After all, he was a shinigami.
