"Well, yeah," Hizashi said with a gentle smile. "That's kinda the whole point, isn't it? You're a woman, after all."
Those words hit Toshinori. She... was a woman. The realisation spread through her chest, warm and electric. It felt so damn right, like puzzle pieces finally clicking into place. For the first time in forever, something about herself made perfect sense.
"Yeah..." she whispered, her voice catching as fresh tears welled up. It felt like the first breath after being underwater too long. "I am."

But for all that he stands still, the door continues opening out; moving honey-slow in the stretched moment of his pulse pounding in his ears.
“- it gets caught between the tiles,” Shouta murmurs, looking right at him with one hand on the doorframe. Scissors in hand. One of his bangs ragged and half-torn out, patches on the back of his skull. A tuft over his ear, and blonde hair scattered over the floor.

“Tell me, what does it feel like to be the world’s poster bitch?” Aizawa’s sharp voice breaks through his thoughts, reverberating around his head and twisting jagged edges into his heart.
You're nothing but a sham, echoes in his head, government's propaganda bitch. A villain spitting in front of his feet as he holds him captive.
“I don’t know,” Toshinori replies slowly, honestly, and avoids Aizawa's piercing gaze.
Aizawa scoffs. “What, isn’t that what you always wanted to be? An icon for the world to look up to?”
Toshinori wonders whether Aizawa is an aggressive type of drunk.
Or: All Might saves a bristly Aizawa from a collapsing building and falls head over heels in love, but Aizawa is a stubborn bastard and doesn’t want anything to do with All Might, featuring a deep dive into Yagi’s tormented mental health and his fear of being anyone other than All Might. (please be mindful of the tags, this gets heavy in some places!)
