Summary
Percival and Theseus have been pen-pals-turn-best-friends ever since their school days. Their letters are not frequent, however over the long years of correspondence, they have worked out a pattern to them. A pattern, which one day Percival stops adhering to.
It doesn’t take an auror to work out that something is wrong. However it is an auror who receives the letters none the less and something is very wrong.Cue one Theseus Scamander deciding to join his younger brother on his trip to New York. By doing so, he can get to know what is wrong with Percival and keep an eye on his brother for once. It’s a win-win, really.
And if he could get his best friend and his brother to stop their ridiculous pining once the situation is resolved? That would be a bonus as well.

Not all wounds are visible at a first glance. Often it is easier to show people those which they expect to see than admitting to those buried deep. It doesn't make either any less real.
Bucky is maybe too good at hiding both. So good in fact, that the Avengers see scars which are not necessarily there. Or at least not quite what they appear to be.

In the course of her adventures, Bilbo finds herself pregnant. Without an offer of marriage from Thorin, she returns to the Shire to raise the child with the help of her family.
The King Under the Mountain is heartbroken that Bilbo chooses to leave Erebor, but he cannot blame her. Not after he tried to kill her. There was a time when she would have proposed marriage, but that time is clearly past. If all he can have of her are her letters, then he will be grateful for the missives.
Getting these two to talk just might take divine intervention. Or the intervention of a particularly interested child.

Summary
Faramir could feel the tears running down his face as he watched his men fall to the ground, one by one, blood spilling from their mortal wounds. Their blood was on his hands. It was his fault.
“My friend, I promise you that if the Valar grant me more days, I’ll look after your son,” Faramir said, his heart breaking as he made the promise. They both knew that the chances of survival were small the moment they departed from Minas Tirith.
He leaned forward and kissed his friend’s forehead, his tears falling on the soldier’s dirtied skin. As Faramir watched Darindor take his last breath and the grip of his fingers on Faramir’s sleeve weakened, he was hit in the back of his head and his vision turned black as he lost consciousness.
