Summary
At the turn of his third decade, Mitsuki is forced to confront the fact that he'd really peaked at thirteen. It's all been downhill since then. Certainly, if he'd lived in the past, maybe things might have been different but in this age of peace, shinobi aren't needed, and there's no justification for breaking the rules.
Everyone sees him as a disappointment because they expect him to be like his... parent... but really, he's just an adequate lab technician. To top things off, his best friend is in the middle of divorcing the Hokage and won't leave his apartment, his other best friend is said Hokage, and his sort-of-girlfriend is breaking up with him to marry someone her clan can get behind -- someone without a history of insanity and treason lurking in his genetic makeup; someone who wasn't grown by a psychotic Missing Nin in a jar.

Summary
Presented for your enjoyment(?) here is some very silly Rusty x Brock MPREG slash written in response to a request on the anonymous kink meme. (Man, I loved that thing.) I tried to keep them IC as best as I could so it's more ho-ho-they-are-so-married as opposed to, er, hot business. It's a collection of little scenelets that would probably occur over the course of many episodes, all smushed together. It's like a bunch of sideplot stuff all in one place. Er. Enjoy? (Reposted from LJ and ff.net.)
It's not that I'm not happy, just, ah, a little confused about how it happened, 'cause as far as I know we never... ah, did we?

Written for the anonymous "Venture Bros Kink Meme" back in 2009. Initially posted anonymously using LiveJournal.
The prompt:
Brock/Rusty - oh-my-god-you're-back reunion sex; or mush; or both; was it not agonizingly obvious how much they were trying to not act like they missed each other? so very desperately?

Summary
The rune spits Jayce out on hard rock. It’s dry and dusty under his hands and when he blinks awake, face-down, clothing soaked, alive against all odds, he actually can’t draw a breath. A drop of water hits his face. And then another. It’s raining, and he doesn’t know where he is, but he’s back in the fissure, he’s certain of it. A cruel ending for a wasted life. Jayce Talis, the Man of Progress, who thought at every turn he had the right idea, and failed in every way that ever mattered.
-
Thrown across the continent, but painfully alive, Jayce struggles to keep Viktor from falling into mental ruin, and himself from keeling over. He can still hold a hammer, so he does what he's always done: cling to hope, however foolish it may be.

A post-canon fix-it of sorts with our two boys stumbling toward self-forgiveness and domesticity. Some Arcane-style weirdness.
This is so tender and melancholic; I love it.

Summary
Lonely private eye Jayce Talis was just another lost soul in the City of Angels. Then a glamorous antiques dealer arrived in Los Angeles hunting a treasure somebody was willing to kill for. Jayce’s best lead is a picture of a tattooed girl with braids, and his new partner is the man who took it: a photographer with one foot in the underworld and a face to die for.
A 1930s hardboiled/noir AU.

Bookmarker's Notes
This is just a triumph of genre writing and historical research. The film noir LA vibes are strong without being overwhelming to digest and the push and pull of Jayce and Viktor's hard-boiled detective/femme fatale (but make it Viktor) relationship is entrancing. I loved every minute of reading this!!!

Summary
Jayce Talis made his fortune with the Hexgates, but is now an indolent playboy, as corrupt and scheming as the rest of Piltover's elite; at least by day. By night he is the Defender of Tomorrow, using secret Hextech weaponry to strike back against the city's oppressors.
The Herald fights for the people of the Undercity every night, using strange rune magic to overwhelm the rampant crime. By day he is just Viktor, a wearied scientist running a medical clinic for those who cannot afford care.
The Defender and Herald are bitter enemies, only restrained by the thin truce between their cities. But when a class war begins to loom once again, the two are forced to work together to save both their respective homes.

Bookmarker's Notes
What an utterly wild AU.
I was expecting it to be a fluffy superhero story but it's actually quite... phew, this was quite something.
How do I even describe this. It's an emotional journey with multiple twists, ups and downs.
Lots of secret identity porn. They end up falling for each other in both their secret identities and their public personas (separately, in all permutations, without realizing) and it is very much like a Shakespearean comedy for the first act of the story. Then there's a lot of unexpected psychological stuff going on for the second act that takes things in a very unexpected direction and then the third act goes hard with the action scenes.
There are a ton of spicy scenes throughout.
But also I can't neglect to mention the fact it's also dappled with some really sweet found family moments with the supporting cast. There's some really heart-warming stuff in there amongst all the hurt/comfort and smooching.

Ohhh this was a really neat AU.
Raised-by-wolves Jayce was incredibly cool and reluctant researcher Viktor's incisively scathing sociopolitical commentary on his position (career-wise, but also in society) was incredibly entertaining. I didn't see the ending coming, but it fits when you observe the overall tone of the story (i.e. f*ck capitalism).

Summary
Jayce's life wasn't great, but it was good enough -- he had a job as an engineer at the trainyard, a little house in Piltover that he'd inherited from his parents, and a silver pocketwatch that had been a gift from Mel, the smuggler who was his friend and occasional fling. That all changed when his train was robbed and Jayce himself was taken for ransom. Chained to a bed in the clinic, Jayce is prepared to hate the doctor aiding and abetting his imprisonment, but he soon learns that not everything in the small mining town of Zaun is controlled by the criminal gang that makes its headquarters there.
As the only man in Zaun with any real medical training, Viktor has his hands full. If it isn't miners falling prey to old and failing equipment and an utter lack of regard for safety by the mine's owners, then it's the roughneck crew of criminals who keep the town running. There's got to be a better way to live, but Viktor is too exhausted and overworked to figure it out. He's definitely too busy for romance, and even if he had the time, it wouldn't be with the naive and annoying Piltie who's been dumped into his lap while the Eye and the Hound decide how to squeeze a ransom out of the man.
