Itachi fighting fate as usual but this time maybe, just maybe securing a future for himself and everyone he already sacrificed so much for.
And Kakashi, growing into a functional human being, stepping up in his role as teacher, embracing his new family (and totally embracing Iruka-sensei somewhere in there) and having to fight the world to the death to be able to keep any of these good things life offered him - as usual.- Words:

To prevent the incredible loss of life if they fell, structures known as Ramparts were rapidly constructed, containing the material apparently most susceptible to the new mystical gravities of earth: silver. A new world order was built, as the deserts created on the surface during the Upheaval denied cultivation, based on Cities and flightpaths and park-grown food, a world in tentative political and physical balance. Summary
Naruto hadn't renounced to his future and his friends to save the world, not even to save a few lives. His decision had been purely selfish. It had been an opportunity to start anew and to break away from everybody's expectations.
He wanted to create his own path, very different from the one that Kurama had shown him– married to a girl he didn’t love and trapped with a job he hated–, and to give Sasuke a true chance at happiness. The first step was to leave Konoha right before the Chuunin exams. Now Sasuke and he must find out Itachi's whereabouts and together, the three of them, embrace a new path full of danger, emotions, recriminations and love.
