  1. Summary

Sora is born into a world where your heart has wings.
Unique to the person, tuned to the soul, the wing-shaped embodiment of your being sprouts from your back in a shimmer of lights.

“A person’s wings aren’t quite strong enough to spread on their own,” his mother told him, “We all need a little bit of help, the wind beneath our wings to hold us up. That’s what your Flight is for.”

Sora is born into a world where your heart has wings.
This does not make things better.

Until maybe, just maybe, it does.

    Summary

Tails bites his tongue from making another remark. His many years of watching Sonic have taught him a thing or two about enemies' tolerance to back-talk, and he really would like to avoid getting hurt, mostly to keep Sonic's mother henning at bay once all of this is over.

There is one thing, however, that confuses him.

"And why, pray tell, would Eggman want this?" The kit asks as his namesakes twitch harshly once more.

The fox stops right in front of him, purple eyes bringing an unwelcome memory to the surface. Did the leader have to be a fox? It is making it severely more difficult to find the situation funny when Mr. Asshole over here is damping the mood.

"A certain hedgehog might get a little bit more collaborative that way." The older fox explains, eyes glinting with mirth.

    Or:

Tails knows a thing or two about being kidnapped. At twelve years old he has lost count of how many times a villain or Eggman has so rudely stolen him away to try and make a bargain with Sonic. But the hedgehog always saves him, it shouldn't be too different this time around.

If only these kidnappers weren't so boring.

    Summary

"Nothing was happening," Tails grumbles a bit too gloomy for his brother not to notice.

"I can tell by your gleeful demeanor," Sonic retorts.

"Do you even know what those words mean?" Tails asks and rolls his eyes.

"I know a lot of words, I know all of them, actually," Sonic responds and uses his upper body strength to sit up without moving his legs. The hedgehog grabs one of the fox's tails and starts running his fingers through it. Tails only flinches a little when the hedgehog's thumb brushes over the scar at the base, "But that's not the point, you've been acting off ever since you and the kiddos had that talk. They were being nice to you, right?"

    Or:
Father's Day is on the horizon, and leading up to it, the little fox is faced with questions about the nature of his and Sonic's relationship, as well as his own function in the great story of Sonic The Hedgehog. What he does know is that Sonic is his brother and best friend, nothing else.

Tails doesn't want a father, he just wants to find out what Sonic means to him.

    "You slowed down."

"Huh?" Sonic looked up in confusion, before looking offended. "No I haven't!"

Knuckles crossed his arms, not impressed- he was just confused. "Whenever you run with the kit." He clearified, reffering to Tails. "You slow down. Why?"

    Summary

"Thank you," Percy said, accepting the tea gratefully. He wasn't a big tea person overall, but his stepmother had a very good knack for it. Godly power, or whatever. "And thank you for not hating me anymore. I know you aren't thrilled about my existence-"

"No need to thank me for not being Hera," Amphitrite dismissed. Percy took a sip of tea. "That is what you meant, isn't it?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. For once, Percy learned from his mistakes and stayed quiet, though he did give her a bashful smile to confirm the sentiment. "Hm. Well, either way, I owe you thanks. Not many children would agree to spy on their father for me."

Percy put the cup down. "I'm not spying on him," he reasoned. Amphitrite scoffed. "I just happen to be in many of the places he is when he's in the mortal world." A long pause followed, and Percy rolled his eyes. "Yes, he was seeing a mortal woman. Her name is Lea."

"You owe me twenty of your mortal dollars, child."

Percy bitterly slapped the paper bill on the table between them.

    Or

Amphitrite has an odd quest for Percy. Strangely enough, it might be the only quest Percy has actually enjoyed.
