Summary
Some emotions are easy to describe, and sometimes easy to dismiss.
Others are difficult to put into words, and a person going through such emotions might not even understand themselves why they're reacting the way they are. Why they feel this way. And difficult emotions, especially ones that are hard to put into words, might equally be dismissed as imaginary or pointless. Come back when you can use human language to describe what you're going through.
But exploring these emotions at length can be quite interesting. And this collection highlights some of the pieces I've done with the most work detailing such nigh-ineffable qualities of the human experience.

2019's July Prompt votes gave 7 to Tremble and Serve and 2 to To the Victor, so those are high priority compared to most of the rest. However, the Creepyfest fics still take kinda high priority since they have a definite end in sight and I'd like to complete them soon-ish.

In the 70 years Steve's been in the ice, there have been some amazing leaps in submissives' rights - a collared sub is no longer classed as the property of their Dominant, uncollared subs aren't expected to quietly put up with unwanted attention from Doms, [...]
After Clint back chats Steve a little too much, Steve forcibly puts Clint down into subspace, tell him that'll he'll damn well listen to what Steve says, tells him that if he's going to be on the team then he'll be on there under Steve's conditions, which includes one of the new high-tech StarkIndustry collars that can't be removed without a specific code - one that Steve's not telling Clint
Things got better during the seventy years Steve was frozen, but Steve, man out of time, stayed the same.

Steve sees Clint mouthing off a lot and being reckless in the field, learns he's a sub, and concludes that he needs to be brought under control via forced subdrop and a collar he can't take off. That was just normal in the 40's.
Clint does not respond well to this, but he's also too conflicted and compromised to tell anyone, and the rest of the team is oblivious for too damn long. But eventually they figure it out, and read Steve the riot act, and put him through sensitivity classes, and get Clint back into Coulson's care like he's supposed to be.
One of those deeply uncomfortable (and suspenseful) fics that is well worth reading.

Summary
During their travels in the Feywild, even Garmelie’s assistance can’t stop Vox Machina from wandering into trouble. It is, after all, what they do best. This time, however, they may have run into something more powerful than even they can face down – in the form of a Wild Hunt, eager for sport and thirsty for blood.
This does not go well for Vox Machina, generally. It goes even worse for Percy, specifically.
Alone, cut off from his party, and being hunted by creatures more dangerous even than the Chroma Conclave, it will take everything Percy has just to survive.

In the Feywild, the team runs afoul of the Wild Hunt -- and Percy winds up alone and on the run, pushing himself to the limit (and past many limits he thought he had) to survive what by all rights should be a death sentence. Intense and gripping.
