Summary
Four stares at the triumphant handshake between the two, Legend tapping the back of his Pegasus boots against the ground nervously, and Hyrule wiping the splatter of blood away from his mussed curls. A usual affair. His eyes gloss over with longing, and for once, Four lets his guard down as he watches for what he yearns for; To be wanted. To be a part of something, and to be loved.
Maybe they'd be better as a group of eight. Maybe Four wasn't needed.
OR
Four doesn't really feel valued. What more can he do to earn their love?

“Hello sir, have you got a light?”
Sky turns around and sees a man walking in his direction with a thin, innocent smile, the hands in his pockets. Something in his stance sends alarms in Sky’s mind. He recognises a predator when he has one in front of him. Nervously, he steps back to where the non-remlit disappeared.
The man notices his behaviour and his smile widens. Oh, Sky thinks, it’s that sort of predator. The kind who will play with his prey, let it think it can go smoothly, that it’s just a normal conversation between two gentlemen.

Hyrule is kneeling by Legend’s side, squeezing desperately his hand and feeling as if his body has frozen. He knows he must cast Life and heal the Veteran. He has enough magic for that. He remembers how to do. But just now, he feels like the connection between his body and his mind has been cut. He can’t do it again. He can’t.
Legend clenches back his hand. His eyes stare at the sky above, wide and fearful. His body shakes in pain and weakness, but even in his state he tries his best to comfort Hyrule. “It’s okay, Rulie. I’ll be okay. Just breathe.”After a traumatic event, Hyrule finds himself unable to use his Life spell.
