    Summary

“No,” he says, smiling gently, like he doesn't know how irritating he's being. “Is my room first, da? You should speak with front desk.”

    Hollander stares at him.

And then he starts to laugh.

You ask the front desk,” he shoots back, in between his odd wheezes. Ilya's heart starts to pound in double time, because this is not—this cannot be Shane Hollander playing bed chicken with him. Their competitiveness is fierce, to be certain, but surely, Hollander would be the bigger person, no? “This is my fucking room, Rozanov. Wild horses couldn't drag me away.”

OR: Ilya's apartment is under construction. Shane's in town for a game. It'd be a shame if they somehow had the same hotel room.

[or, or: we need some more goddamn 'there was only one bed' out here.]

    Summary

After the longest season of his career, Ilya retreats to the cottage with Shane, expecting rest, recovery, and a month of stolen peace. Instead, exhaustion lingers. Small things feel wrong. And the body that has always carried him through pain begins to falter in ways he can’t explain.

As concern grows and outside eyes begin to notice, the life Ilya and Shane have carefully built—careers, borders, futures—starts to feel fragile. When a medical crisis shatters their summer before answers arrive, love is no longer something they protect quietly. It becomes something they fight with.

A story about what happens when the body speaks before you’re ready to listen, and the people who refuse to let you face it alone.

    Summary

“Fuck you,” Marleau says, through breathing, wheezing laughter. “I didn’t almost die—”

The flat of Shane’s tongue presses, hard, against the head of Ilya’s cock. Ilya narrows his eyes. Oh, I see, he thinks flatly. To the extent that there had been anything to forgive, Ilya is fairly certain that Shane had immediately forgiven his little stunt during the call with Pike. He had neglected to remember, however, that Shane’s mind tended to plan on a scale of weeks, months, or years, and that forgiven did not necessarily mean forgotten.

Shane gets payback for the phone call with Hayden.
    Sort of.

    Summary

“Ilya?” Shane said in that same dreamy, loopy voice as that morning. Ilya exhaled in a rush.

“Shane,” he said, and wanted to sag against the glass with relief. “What happened? Is something wrong?”

    “Not! Any moooooooore.”

Ilya swallowed. Shane hadn’t gotten any quieter in the past seven hours.

“Why are you calling me? You need to be resting,” he said, and it sounded softer than he’d meant it to.

“I forgot to tell you something. Important.

“You should not be telling me anything, you should be—”

“My cottage has really good water pressure,” Shane announced.

Ilya stared out the window while a small plane taxied past.

    “What?”

    ——————

Shane's cottage has a lot of amenities, and he needs to tell Ilya about all of them.

    Summary

Wyatt was not, like, nosy. For sure, he was interested. He was curious. He engaged with people, obviously, because most people were interesting and engaging and had cool thoughts and said neat stuff if you asked.

So, no. Wyatt wasn’t nosy, but he wasn’t stupid, either.
