It sounded like the most words he’d spoken in a long time, now with his chest so close to D-90s that he had to crane his neck up to keep contact with the near-black pools of agony that kept searching his face for something he couldn’t give.
“Johnny…do you know who is talking to you right now?”

Your words came out sideways, head just above water as you struggled to stay with him. Soap could see the quakes that rocked beneath him, violent tremors rattling your sweat-soaked form. The wound wasn't deep but the torn skin was shaded sickly yellow with a hint of green along the edges, dark blood seeped lazily down the length of your hip and into a tacky stain down your cargos.
Steadily he reached down- fingertips just hovering over the bloodied flesh. You were burning up.
A fire seemed to radiate from the wound

a) i initially just wanted to write a one-shot based on my experiences irl but got so many requests to continue
b) im challenging myself that every single work has to have a complete storyline and will be artistic enough to read on its own (dialogue-wise, etc.)
