Wonwoo chokes on air. “Y-You followed me home?!”
“Yup!” the boy, Chan, nods enthusiastically.
“How long have you been stalking me?!”
Chan laughs. “I don’t think I’m the stalker. You’re the one who keeps staring at me when I’m just minding my damn business, and the one who keeps attempting to feed and play with me like I’m some stray! I humored you once, then you just won’t stop!”
Or, five times cat-hybrid Wonwoo fails to befriend the campus tabby, and the one time the feline followed him home without him knowing.

“i just feel like i’m never home anymore because i’m always with hansolie, and the hyungs are always busy with—being semi-responsible adults, and you’re just. here. rotting in your blanket pile. alone.”
“enrichment time,” chan corrects, and seungkwan rolls his eyes, so chan huffs, slipping out of said blanket pile a little to try and look a little more assertive.
he is totally ok with rotting at home on fridays, thank you very much. he literally works two jobs, and he’s also helping junhui run an instagram for his overweight cat, so like, he deserves to rot in his blanket pile every now and then.
“i’m just saying i want—the best for you,” seungkwan finishes. must think it was very selfless and dignified of him, too, because he sniffs, giving chan a shrug. “which includes getting out there and meeting people.”
“ok, mom,” chan says, rolls his eyes now, too, which he would not do to his actual mother. chan thinks that might be the only difference between seungkwan and her. “i’m doing just fine here, but thank you for the concern.”
which is only like, a partial lie.

Summary

Wonwoo tells himself to be content with that. To take what he’s given and be grateful for another chance to love Jun, even if Jun doesn’t love him back.
