“Hey! I’ve been losing my mind all week thinking about you. I didn’t get any letters last week and I was at Cerebro for hours Monday night and you never answered. Are you okay? Over.” The connection sputtered, but his voice held through.
Telling her boyfriend about the last few weeks, seemed to be the very last thing she wanted right now. Friends don’t lie. But lying was the only thing she was good at these days.
