There was something ugly churning in Geralt's gut watching all those nobles flock around Jaskier. Fawning, complimenting, flirting.
Jaskier should be thriving and preening from all the attention. Instead there was something uncomfortable and pinched in his expression, skillfully masked behind playful smiles and bright laughs.
Geralt didn't want to contemplate why he, and only he, noticed the bard's wish to run.

Summary
Hodari catches feelings for the new human in Kilima, and that sends him down a spiral of emotions- especially when said human gets hurt in the mines. How could he let his heart do this again? How could he like someone so reckless, who acted before he spoke? Hodari felt young again, and also a little old; Ronen was, after all, only 28. Late twenties with all the go-getter and none of the thinking. It was enough to captivate and frustrate Hodari endlessly.
Basically Hodari has feelings and acts out about it because he's a little stubborn and a little afraid. Ronen gets his feelings hurt and burdens Hassian with his woes. They make up in the end, duh.

“Michael James Ross, did you get your lips pierced?”
Donna’s voice rings out across the hallway and Mike looks up, pulling his earbuds out.
“Huh — what? No — oh damn.” A hand flies up to his mouth, covering the jewellery that he totally didn’t forget to take out. “I mean yes but not like — recently.”
She crosses over to him, knocking his hand out of the way and taking his face in her hand, turning it side to side. He’s acutely aware of what she’s looking at, given the lengths he’s been going to hide it.
“Who’d have thought it…” she murmurs, eyes glittering in way that Mike can only describe as appreciative. “Harvey can never know.”

“Look.” he continued, hands raised in surrender. “You’re pissed. I get it. As you know, the rest of my day wasn’t that fucking great either.”
He nodded towards the corner of the ceiling, where one of several small CCTV cameras sat. “But if you’re going to incinerate me, could you at least do it in a blind spot? I don’t exactly want my charred corpse caught in 4k.”
Flambae glanced around at the cameras, puffing out a warm, steady breath. He met Robert’s gaze again, hot embers burning beneath his glare. Flambae’s other fist curled, trembling slightly.
Robert licked his lips and braced, fully expecting to have to come up with a brand new excuse tomorrow for why his nose was busted this time around.
Instead, his eyes narrowed when Flambae’s glare — for the smallest, most imperceptibly short moment — flitted down, tracking the motion. Flambae’s gaze snapped back up, looking caught.
Robert blinked, eyes widening. His mouth fell open, the corner of his mouth ticking up just a fraction. “Oh.”

Or, Robert and Flambae run into eachother after hours, post the “comms incident”. They argue a bit, then finish what they started.
