Summary
Auntie is shaking, violent tremors that rip through her as she wails. The sound is wavering, fracturing — it almost hurts his ears.
Deku is gone.
Someone needs to find him — a real hero, someone who can drag him back and make sure the idiot never gets lost again. Someone with a powerful quirk, to balance out Deku's uselessness. Katsuki fits the criteria. He has the quirk, the knowledge, and he's nearly a hero already.
He can go rescue Deku.

When Izuku goes missing, Katsuki resolves to prepare himself and leave home to find him. In the end, though, it's not who Katsuki finds, but who finds him that shifts the course of events.

Summary
"How did he — what happened?" Izuku asks.
"They told me he used a fake name when I met him. They came across the link to his real name while they were — were investigating his death," Inko tells him, and Izuku doesn't mention the way her voice wavers and stumbles over the final words. He just moves his hand over to hers, slipping his fingers in-between and gripping it firmly. "His real name was Shimura Kotarou," Inko tells him, voice shaking with tears.

Summary
A silhouette, feet scuffing at the ground, emerges in illuminated lines from the darkness before them.
"You," says Stain, voice low and nasal. There's a tinge of disgust to the word, and the bandages wrapped tightly around the villain's head shift as his lip curls.
The figure pauses, and then Tenya sees a dark, blocky boot step fully into view.
"Me," comes a gravelly voice, low in the register, vowels short.
Ground Zero.

Tenya isn't expecting another villain to turn up on the brink of his death at Stain's hands, and he definitely isn't expecting the vigilante that appears to save him. The strangest part, though, is that they seem to know each other.

The woman slashes down with her hand. Something rises at the edge of Hitoshi's vision, and he flicks his eyes to the side to see his capture weapon writhing in the air like a sentient snake. Panic shears through him like a razor-sharp, burning blade, and he rears back.
