Summary
Geshu Lin doesn’t announce his visit. He simply shows up in the private training room during one of Jiyan’s ineffective meditation sessions. He doesn’t say anything, just stands over where Jiyan is seated cross-legged with his arms folded watching him struggle to concentrate. Geshu Lin’s silent, oppressive presence throws Jiyan’s already shoddy concentration into further disarray.
“Your frequencies are disordered,” Geshu Lin comments after a quarter hour of compounding Jiyan’s stress. Without warning, he reaches down and grips Jiyan’s Tacet Mark.

Summary
Jiyan falls defending Jinzhou to his last breath. To his astonishment, he opens his eyes to find himself a month after the Battle Beneath the Crescent…with Geshu Lin miraculously alive.
This second chance, he resolves to live his life without regrets.
“What the hell are you wearing?” Geshu Lin’s voice is a little too rough when he recovers.
“My clothing meets regulations for non-standard uniforms. It’s more practical for wielding Qingloong.”
“Which part of that,” Geshu Lin gestures emphatically to his half-off robe, “is practical?”
“Should I remove the robe then?” Jiyan asks helpfully. Emboldened by Geshu Lin’s rare discomposure, he suits action to words, unbelting and shrugging off the hanfu, leaving him in his sleeveless top and gauntlets.
“Put your clothes back on,” Geshu Lin hisses in disbelief.

Right. Like that explained everything.
Johnny let himself lean in just a little. Head to Peter’s shoulder, eyes closed. Just a second. “I’m not your boyfriend anymore. You don’t have to take care of me.”
Peter’s response was immediate, grumbled under his breath like a reflex. “See? Now you’re saying dumb things. You need to be checked out.”
