“Come now, Law,” Doflamingo scolded him. “That half-hearted attempt? With no back up? I admit I almost thought you were serious at Punk Hazard, but it’s clear now that you wanted to lose.” Doflamingo sighed. “You just wanted your rival out of the way first, I assume. The previous Corazón. Poor Vergo.”
“I don’t-” Law started, but there was something to what Doflamingo was saying. Most of it was nonsense, of course, but why had he tried to fight Doflamingo with no back up? He had a plan. He was going to turn Kaido against Doflamingo. So why had he suddenly decided to try to fight him directly? Why did he think he stood a chance?
In which Luffy got turned into a toy and Law no longer remembers him.

He casually plucked at a few strings on his guitar, not playing anything in particular. “I can’t really feel anything like this, just phantom sensations.” He laughed at his own joke, and to his surprise Law snorted in amusement.
“Room,” Law said, creating that familiar blue sphere around both of them. “I might be able to help with that. Temporarily, at least.”

“You're sidelining us for some insipid appointment?” Robin screeches. “What could possibly be so important that you would delay the return of interdimensional interlopers??”
At this, a dangerously gleeful grin spreads across Damian’s face. On a kid like Robin, such an expression could be considered cute or even funny. On a full grown man, they all take one step back - well, except for Black Bat. She seems equally delighted by whatever she’s seeing.
“You know what - you’re right,” Damian tells Nightwing. “I think that you can help us with this little project of ours.”
“Oh, there’s no way that you’re actually the Demon Brat. He would never ask for help,” Red Robin mutters under his breath.
“I’m older than you, I think,” Damian points out.
Red Robin blinks, processes this, then proceeds to have mild conniption.
“Answer me!” Robin yells.

But they’re wrong. Powder knows there’s something that scares Vi. And that’s because it scares Vander.

In which child-Viktor refuses to abandon Silco; an act of devotion that changes the trajectory of Zaun's uprising. While Vander negotiates with Enforcers, Silco single-parents a revolution in the dark. Someone has to fund his son's endless charity work and vaccinate zaunish kids.
There's siblings-of-divorce, waverider eggs, volatile crystals...and a Piltie wandering around the Lanes looking for blue gems and a ghost.

Partners, Jayce calls them. Not for the first time, Viktor wonders: Partners in what?
