“I’m fine,” Jeff clears his throat and shuffles on his back to the same position again, uncharacteristically restless. “Just… God fucking–Can I tell you something, Dave?”
“Yeah?” Dave’s voice pitches in worry, sitting back on his haunches. The bulge in his boxers is exceedingly obvious, despite how silly they are – stupid boxy plaid patterned fabric that only serves as a human decency to cover up. God only knows the man needs the extra space – and Jeff. Whatever he’s wearing, it's obvious he’s still hard. Almost makes Jeff feel bad about ruining the moment, if he weren’t about to drop some wild shit onto Dave’s lap that would assuredly make him go fucking crazy.
“I–Uh, shit.” Jeff fumbles, averting his eyes from the man in front of him. “It’s stupid but,” It’s better to get it out now than later. “I didn’t take my birth control. I don’t, uh, anymore.”

“Cam’s only in town for another two days,” Dave had said, half-muffled into his pillow and throat slightly scratchy from sleep. “He might appreciate the change of company, if...you’re interested.”
At first, Jeff wasn’t interested. He didn’t like the idea of trying to get with one of Dave’s close friends, and by extension, one of his own. It felt like cheating, somehow, as if they’re dedicated to one another, when it’s only Jeff that feels that way, he’s sure of it. That's what is the most confusing bit, in retrospect.

How ironic, to say such a thing, when it’s exactly what Jeff feels. He doesn’t want that, not in the slightest. His skin crawls at the thought of it. He wants to tear it off for even thinking of Dave like that.
