“I didn’t have anything, you pigeon,” grunted Roger as he lowered the little one slightly. “She’s a sea baby, which means the sea gave birth to her.”

Perona finds herself in a dire situation, with a tough decision before her: retrieve two of the Seraphim and have her and Moria's bounty pardoned by the New World Government, or save one of them from a life under the clutches of the Marine at best, or a gruesome death at worst. Deep down, she knows he owes her gratitude and kindness to the man who most resembles the young Seraph with golden ringed eyes, thus, she follows her gut and hides him away from the world, putting a target on her own back.
