Jotaro jumps, jerking his head up, only to feel his face grow cold and clammy as the blood drains away from it.
A young woman – probably 18 or so – stands a couple of meters away from Jotaro. She has the same red hair, a similar curl coming to rest at the side of her face. She has the same thin brows, furrowing in suspicion and confusion. She has one of his earrings, the red bead shining brightly from where it rests near her throat.
Jotaro’s breath catches. The woman’s eyes narrow slightly. Just like Kakyoin.
“Who are you?”

It wasn't fair that he got to walk away from the fight without any sort of permanent injury he'd have to live with forever. Frankly, it was a miracle that Kakyoin survived. When Jotaro saw his injuries, he was afraid he'd been impaled through the chest and killed by DIO, but only the former proved true when they went to retrieve him and the stubborn little shit flashed them a smile and told them he was going to be okay. Jotaro hated himself for doubting that, even if it was just a small part of him that screamed "no, Kakyoin's not going to live through this" that he just decided to shut out in favor of clinging to the hope that somehow, somehow he'd pull through and make it. He'd seen the amount of blood and the life seeping out from his friend's eyes, and there was no other moment in his entire goddamn life when he'd ever been so terrified.
