Summary
When a throw-away comment about the Boy-Who-Lived catches Lucius Malfoy by surprise, he starts to investigate about the boy’s whereabouts. Finding the Saviour of the Wizarding World treated like a common house-elf is not at all what he expected. Not one to let an opportunity pass when it presents itself, he takes Harry in as his ward before someone else can whisk him away, securing the boy’s fame and power for himself and giving him the education he is sorely lacking.
Locked into his room by the Dursleys and half starved to death, Harry hasn’t much hope that anything will change until he goes back to Hogwarts. But then Draco Malfoy’s father shows up of all people and offers him a place at Malfoy Manor.
Highly suspicious at first, he finds that the Malfoys are kinder than he expected and Harry slowly starts to let himself believe that things might be looking up for him at once. But those around him are not as trusting as he is and when Dumbledore tries to warn Harry away from the Malfoys, Harry will have to fight to keep his new-found family and keep the fragile trust he has in them. -

Lucius watched dispassionately as Dumbledore stepped up to him an expression of pity on his old and wrinkled face.
Three men were necessary to keep Lucius on his knees, despite the wounds he had sustained during the fight, with a fourth pressing a blade to his throat.
“Ah, my boy,” Dumbledore said, a sad look on his face. “That it should come to this.”
Lucius stared up at him in silence.
“But the Malfoys always hungered for power, did they not? I should have foreseen this.”
“The sword deemed me worthy,” Lucius ground out.
Dumbledore tutted. “The sword. My boy, the sword is an evil artifact and shouldn’t be used at all.” -

Summary
I'm redoing this summary now that I have an idea where the story is going.
The summer before his third year, Harry Potter's temporary living accommodations in Diagon Alley are cut short. In a bid to rescue Harry from his abusive family, the Weasley Twins rope Professor Severus Snape into taking him in. Featuring an ambitious Harry & Severus Snape doing his best. Together with a sassy mirror and a firey friend, follow Harry as he deviates from the path laid out before him and starts doing a bit more thinking before acting.
TLDR: Snape mentors the Weasley twins & they recruit him to save Harry during the summer before PoA.
PART 2: We'll see what happens when Harry gets back to Hogwarts.
