Bye, Manon, she opens her mouth to say, but she stops when she glances in the mirror. Manon’s still all collapsed on the floor, limbs all splayed out, but. There are light blue scales that delicately line the skin of her legs and arms and neck, and they are shimmering in the harsh light of the practice room. And there’s also a golden snake curled around her torso, tongue flicking towards her face in what looks like a familial manner, and her ears are definitely pointier than normal.

After the last of the Riots, when Manon lay clinging to life in a hospital bed for days on end, Sophia silently retreated to only God knows where (actually, God and Yoonchae were the only ones who knew, but it wasn’t like Yoonchae was gonna tell anyone where Sophia fled to), and when Manon woke up from her coma, body still searing with pain, she saw four worried faces looking down at her instead of five.

Megan can’t say that being a superhero is all that awful. Sure, she gets thrown around much too often for someone her age. Sure, she’s nearly died about 60 times, and sure, she lives in constant fear that one of her loved ones will get hurt due to her status as every supervillain(within the state of California)’s number one opp. But putting that aside, she gets to kick ass, save people, and practically fly around the city with webs. Add on her enhanced strength, accelerated healing, and, as Yoonchae cutely calls them, her spidey senses, and yeah, all in all Megan would say she’s got it pretty good.

Penelope doesn’t answer. Hope realizes that somewhere in this very short conversation, Penelope has somehow materialized a joint out of thin air. Hope rolls her eyes and goes back to staring aimlessly at the lake in front of them.
“What the fuck,” Penelope begins, “Was the person who first discovered that cows could be milked thinking?”
Hope takes a second to process before bursting into laughter. She looks at Penelope, who for a second looks surprised that Hope was expressing positive emotions around her, before her green eyes sparkle with humor.

It’s a sick game the four of them play. Josie and Lizzie, or Castor and Pollux, were hired to assassinate Three and Serpent because their boss (read; father) suspected they were trying to take down the Saltzman organization.
In their first encounter, Three and Serpent seemed to be incompetent. They got caught easily, but as soon as Josie and Lizzie turned their backs, they had the Gemini Twins in a heaving, bloody, mess.
Josie thinks they purposely left them alive, for their fucked up version of fun, maybe.
