Summary
Besides the obvious things, Eddie always considered finding hideouts to be one of the most entertaining parts of this job. The searching, eyes scanning the sidewalk for doors propped open by cigarette boxes, ears poised to pick up on the familiar and intoxicating thrum of misdemeanor. In a way, he sometimes thought, before chuckling, it’s almost like what a cop does.
It was raining on this particular evening, which had already put him in a good mood; under the cover of rain is where Eddie did his best work, and he allowed himself a few deep breaths to take in that wet pavement smell and be reminded of his best work. Muffled screams of unbridled terror, blood being carried away with the downpour into a sewer drain, and crisp, confident footsteps that never would have hinted at any wrongdoings. He continued his hunt.

Sort of a short character study/one-shotty thing, because Dmitry is a lot more interesting character than people give him credit for. And I feel bad for him.

It’s something that Tommy has thought about for a while. Those last few moments before Evan comes, when he’s fucking into Tommy quick and greedy, too close to be anything approaching inhibited—when he’s losing himself in the friction, in the pleasure he can wring for himself from Tommy’s body.
Not that Evan thinks about it that way, Tommy is sure. Evan likes giving pleasure as much as he likes receiving it.
That’s kind of the thing, though. What if Evan wasn’t concerned about Tommy’s pleasure? What if he fucked Tommy selfishly, just for himself? What if he used Tommy’s body to get himself off—just that, and nothing else? What would he be like? How would he fuck Tommy if he was just doing it for himself?

Buck stares, unblinking, at the screen for a long time. For too long, maybe.
He has no idea how to even begin to make sense of what he’s looking at, even if he knew to expect this. It must be written all over his face in any case, as the technician takes in his expression in one breath and is adjusting the screen away from him in the next. It’s very slight, doesn’t really hinder much, but the simple gesture of kindness is enough to bring tears to his eyes.

“Just a fan, then?” he teases, and the flush deepens. He wants to see how far down it goes, what it looks like under one of his hands.
“Guess you could say that.” He scratches the back of his neck before holding out his hand. “I'm Evan.”
