Summary
After a less-than-pleasant break up with his long term partner, Liathan, Esca decides he needs a change of scenery. On a whim, he purchases a horse ranch in rural Tennessee, hoping to start anew and pursue his life-long passion for horses. Esca longs for time to devote solely to himself, a place to think, and as much distance between him and the awful memories he left behind in England. What he doesn't expect is the overly-friendly and overly-handsome farrier, Marcus, for whom - despite his best efforts - Esca can't help but fall.

Pacific Rim AU:
The war against the Kaiju has been raging for years now, each and every new monster bringing new kinds of death and destruction with them. Edward Teach, callsign “Blackbeard”, and his co-pilot Israel “Izzy” Hands, callsign “First Mate”, have been conscripted into the Jaeger program as a way to atone for their criminal past. However, their drift compatibility wanes. Angry and frustrated, Izzy quits the Jaeger program all-together, leaving Ed without a co-pilot.
Enter Stede Bonnet, who left his wife and children six months prior to pursue his dream of becoming a Jaeger pilot. After a chance encounter with Ed in the hall, the two of them bond and come to the realization that they are drift compatible. After successfully drifting together, their feelings begin to evolve into something more. However after only one trial run in Stede's Jaeger, the Revenge, a Category 5 Kaiju emerges from the breach. All available Jaegers and co-pilots are called to battle. Although Stede and Ed have drifted successfully during testing, will they be able to pilot the Jaeger and fight off such a strong opponent, or will their first battle together be their last?

Summary
“Just…” He starts, then pauses, and shrugs again, “Made me think that… I dunno, guess I’ve never truly had a ‘home’, that’s all.”
Stede furrows his brow, turning to meet Ed’s gaze.
“What do you mean? Surely you had a home with your mother and father in England, yes?”
Ed shrugs again - a nervous tic that Edward only seems to display when he’s pretending to be casual - and looks away from Stede.
“I mean, yeah, I lived in a house. But my dad made that place hell, so… Didn’t feel like much of a home.”

Summary
Ed shakes his head. No. No, this cannot be Stede. Ed knows that it isn't him. But here he is… smiling, fucking singing. Relaxed. No, this man cannot possibly be him. Ed knows it can’t be him. It’s been almost 14 months now - and Stede Bonnet is dead as a doornail. He can still see the obituary, the one that Izzy had found in Barbados, and had so joyfully passed onto Edward after they’d left the port. Ed can still see the smug, pleased smirk that had tickled Izzy’s face when Ed had read the paper. Stede Bonnet - deceased. Survived by his wife and children.
More than a year after Stede Bonnet's death, Edward happens across him, seemingly alive and well, and singing love songs in a dive bar in Tahiti.

Summary
Eddie climbs onto the bed. They sit side by side, legs extended, two letter L’s protruding off the page. Instead of pressing play like Eddie is expecting, Buck laughs.
“What?” Eddie asks, an instinctive smile caressing his lips.
Buck grips his jaw, thumb brushing over his teeth before he bites at the broad nail, stifling. “Just—did you ever see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?”
Eddie nods. “Gene Wilder.”
“That’s the one,” Buck chuckles around his thumb, then lets it slide free. “You know the grandparents?”
Then Eddie’s laughing too. “Jesus,” he says on an exhale.
“I’m just saying,” says Buck, still giggling. “I’ve seen our future, and it’s bright.”
Or: God created the world in seven days. It only takes Eddie six to surreptitiously move into Buck’s house.

Summary
Buck scoffed, ripping his arm out of Eddie’s hold. “Seriously, Eddie? You’re really trying to sell me that ‘it’s not you it’s me’ crap?” When Eddie stayed silent for one moment too long, Buck turned around, more than ready to leave their shared bed and said, “Screw the couch. I’m going to stay with Maddie for a while.”
“I can’t stop thinking about Tommy,” Eddie blurted out and Buck was glad he was still sitting down because hearing that likely would have ended up with him falling right to the ground with the way he lost all feeling in his legs. And in general. All he could think through the sudden numbness taking over his body was-
“My ex boyfriend Tommy?”
And here he thought things couldn’t get any worse. Or more confusing.
Or, the one in which Eddie and Chris return home and there's only one bed

Summary
“Aren’t you gonna tell me all about the Mississippi river?” Eddie asks, his voice thick with warmth, almost tender.
Buck narrows his eyes. “Do you wanna hear facts about the river?”
“Buck, if you have things to say, I want to hear them.”
The sun doesn’t break through the clouds, but it’s like the sky brightens, for just a moment, burnishing highlights in Eddie’s hair and finding new flecks of color in his eyes. Buck feels heat travel down the back of his neck.
or: Two firefighters. Two thousand miles. One realization they probably should’ve had a long time ago.

Summary
“I’m not even in the neighborhood of mad,” he says, instead of vomiting any of the thousand feelings warring inside him. “But Buck. This would’ve—this took you hours.”
“I’m good at multitasking,” Buck says, and Eddie can practically hear him shrugging over the phone. “I did all the cooking after I put Chris to bed, and then I got up a little earlier to get the cleaning and laundry done. It was nothing.”
Eddie’s starting to suspect he’ll have to wait for Buck to come back to make him understand that, actually, it kind of was everything.
