“Piltover?” Vi asks, looking back at Ekko who just shrugs. She takes a step closer to Caitlyn, invading her space. “Let me ask you something– Caitlyn–was it?” Her voice is so close to her face. “You got a last name?” Caitlyn feels her stomach drop at the question.

“Well, actually…this might sound mad–” Caitlyn starts. She turns away from Vi, in need of some reprieve. She rubs her brow with the tips of her fingers, as if she could conjure up a better answer. “I don’t know my last name. I was found wandering around when I was about nine years old,” Caitlyn says sheepishly.

Vi nods, as if she understood. “And, uh, before that– before you were nine?” She brings her finger to her chin.

“Look, I know I must sound ridiculous, but I genuinely don’t remember. I have– very few memories of my past.” Caitlyn looks down at her hands clasped in front of her now. Her thumbs rub together.

Vi looks back at Ekko again, huffing a small laugh.

“Well I do have one clue, I suppose. And that is Piltover."

    Summary

The woman looked up, holding Vi’s gaze and freezing her to the floor. Her eyes were startlingly blue, her stare so intense that made Vi’s stomach jump. She was quite beautiful; sharp cheekbones, long neck, and now that she’d shed her coat, Vi could spy a healthy amount of curves.

A smile pulled at her lip, one that Vi returned.

“I’m glad I’m not the only one that isn’t fond of this time of the year.” The woman said, staring at her glass as she swirled it in her hand, watching the liquid swish around.

“Fucking hate the holidays.” Vi muttered.

    Summary

Vi was standing by the door, holding a paper in a tight grip, and her eyes were as wide as saucers as she stared down at it. “Uh… I might know what happened last night.”

The paper was slightly crinkled already by the time it landed in Caitlyn’s grasp, and – was Vi blushing?

Caitlyn blinked at her partner a couple times before looking down at the paper. “…Fuck.”

    Summary

Vi swallowed past the chunk of cake, wiping at the frosting on her lips, and then puffed out her chest, acting like she’d eaten more than one meal over the past three days.

“Ain’t afraid,” was her response, and she winced at how broken and raspy her voice was. Animals didn’t talk much, mostly just growled and grunted at each other.

The girl had dark blue hair, and while most of it was pulled back in a ponytail behind her head, a few errant strands framed her elegant cheekbones and – god, elegant. What was Vi, some fucking snob?

“No, you’re just eating my cupcakes.”

Vi balled her hands into fists and lifted them defensively, even as the girl lowered the gun slightly. “Fight for them.”

The blue-haired girl’s brow furrowed, and then she lowered her rifle the rest of the way. “I… I’m not going to fight you for them. That’s barbaric. We’re people, we don’t fight for food.”

“Not people. Wild. Fight,” and then, daringly, Vi smirked. “Fight, pretty girl?”

“Oh, so you think I’m pretty, then?”

    Vi frowned, faltering.
