Summary
Cody's not sure if Haggar's going senile early or if he genuinely thinks this is a good idea. Even though this story remains unfinished even a decade later, the ending that we did get still feels satisfying. I would have loved to read more about these 4 living post-apocalypse, not just surviving but living truly, but this is good. Shinji becoming alive immediately upon getting Kaworu back is so real and true

I read this fic years ago, maybe when I was 16 or 17. In the back of my mind, Asuka eating the carrot and Rei carrying her in an AT field has never left me. I don’t think it ever will, and I crave more post-impact stories like this.
I despise rebuild’s retelling of Asuka. I think this is truly Asuka; this is canon to me.
