Phainon suffers from chronic pain and Mydei still has his curse of immortality.
Phainon believes he doesn’t have a soulmate because he wasn’t born with a mark. Mydei is not on very good terms with his soulmate bond.
And Mnestia gets a jolly good show out of all of this.
Or; An AU in which Amphoreus is a normal world apart of the cosmos and has a different divine mission given by their own gods; in which Phainon is extra pathetic and happy-go-lucky, in which Mydei is slightly less talk and more aggressive in action…
AND in which humans are more cynical, and thus Mnestia turns out to be one petty bitch and decides to make everything more complicated for everyone with a heartbeat and cohesive thoughts after They get rejected by Cerces.

Before Rosalyne let go of the phone, she opened up what was apparently the messaging app and added her to one final ‘group chat’.
“It’s for unofficial communication,” she said, handing back the phone. “Between the harbingers, of course. We use it for casual conversation.”
Only three hours later, while sitting on the bed in her room in the Fatui Headquarters, did she realise what Rosalyne meant by ‘casual conversation’.
It means that all semblances of being proper harbingers are thrown out of the window.
