Summary
Viktor runs the Avian Department at the Piltover Zoo and Conservation Center with obsessive tendencies, a short leash on sentiment, and absolutely no time for charming distractions.
Unfortunately, the new hire—Jayce Talis, ex-documentary host with a hero complex and a megawatt smile—is exactly that kind of distraction. He’s late. Overenthusiastic. Questionably qualified.
And, worst of all? The penguins adore him.
Viktor decidedly does not.
Except… maybe he does. A little. Against his better judgment and all professional boundaries.
Thrown together by a demanding conservation project and a handful of suspiciously meddlesome bioluminescent penguins, the two must navigate turf wars, mounting pressure, emotional burnout, and the quiet, terrifying ache of beginning again.
The penguins have already picked a side.
