Summary
“Do you know what fanfiction is?”
Max blinks. “Yeah?”
“Oh, good,” Charles says, even more relieved. “Do you know people write about celebrities?”
Max rolls his eyes. “I’ve been briefed by PR, yeah.”
Charles flops down on the lounge, Sassy and Jimmy long gone, and props his feet up on the coffee table. Max rolls his eyes again, then sits down next to him. He and Charles are friends, kind of, and certainly closer now that they’ve ever been before, but he’s never really witnessed Charles having a PR-related meltdown before. They’re not that close.
Oh, well. A first time for everything, he supposes.
“Great!” Charles says cheerily, then unlocks his phone and shoves it in Max’s face. “Do you also know that we’re ranked second on Archive of Our Own?”

Summary
He knows he wants to get better at this. He wants to wear makeup more often—maybe see how it pairs with some of his nicer shirts. He wants to try more styles of earrings. He wants to paint his nails brighter colors. Maybe … he wants to try loving his body in a new way.
Maybe he’s not done evolving. And maybe that doesn’t have to be scary.

Summary
“What was that?” Jay croaks out, wincing at how rough his voice sounds all of a sudden.
The frown on Sunghoon’s face deepens. He doesn’t look too happy about the turn of events, or maybe things have gone exactly the way he thought they would. Either way, he looks almost somber as he meets Jay’s eyes.
“Consequences,” Sunghoon murmurs, voice hushed and serious.
Great, Jay thinks. Just what he needed.
The last thing Jay expects during junior year in college is a whole blood curse, but maybe the whole experience won't be that bad with Sunghoon by his side.

“Why do it through a poem?” he wonders.
“Isn’t there something romantic about it?” Jaeyun laughs yet again and Jongseong finally decides that he likes the sound. “I want to handwrite it. Spritz the paper with perfume. Seal it in a fancy envelope. Everything.”

Summary
And then Heeseung starts to hum. It’s a melody Jake has never heard before, but it tugs at him with familiarity. It sounds like…like the song of the world. It is the stars he watches from his room at night and the wind in his hair and the feeling of the sun baking salt onto his skin when he emerges from the ocean. It is Heeseung’s hand in his and the smooth glide of Heeseung’s scales on his bare legs and the rapid beating of Heeseung’s heart against his chest when they are close together.
Or: Heeseung gives up his voice to walk on land to reunite with Prince Jaeyun. But will Jake remember the boy that he splashed around (and fell in love) with as a child?
