He hadn’t taken any particular pleasure in killing Peter for once and for all, though he was glad he’d thought to ask Deaton about what to do to make sure Peter couldn’t come back. Lydia wasn’t exactly thrilled with the countermeasures, but since it meant she wouldn’t have to raise him from the dead ever again, she dealt with it by making Scott pay in small ways and large.
He accepts her treatment of him without comment, knowing that a lot of the mess the town is in could have been avoided if he hadn’t been such a dickhead all those years ago. And really, he thinks, as he’s patrolling near the Nemeton, dickhead doesn’t even cover what he did to Stiles.

Instead of being given a choice to finally move on and meet her parents, she is instead given no choice but to relive her life.

In September of 1971, Severus Snape finds a forgotten portrait of the Slytherin family in a dark corner of the Slytherin Common Room. At the time, he has no idea that talking portrait will affect the rest of his life.
On 31st July 1995, Harry Potter disappears from Little Whinging a few minutes after midnight. The means of his departure are unfathomable, and the Order's only relief in their concern is the fact that Voldemort was not responsible.
The rest of Wizarding Britain is too busy tearing down their Wizarding Savior via the press to be much concerned, at least until certain Slytherin allies decide that enough is fucking well enough.

Long, plotty fics with an emphasis on world-building and character development. Contains canon characters and original characters, and while there are relationships, the focus is primarily on the world. Incredibly well-written, and if the author weren’t so prolific on AO3, I would suspect them of being a professional novelist in disguise. I only wish I were into their other fandoms, because so. many. words.
