Summary
He emerged from the bathroom, rubbing his neck awkwardly. “Nureyev…I think I need new clothes.”
Nureyev’s eyes lit up as soon as he said it. “Oh, Juno, those are words I never thought I’d hear. You’re absolutely right. All your old clothes are so tasteless and full of holes. I’d be happy to pick out some new outfits-”
Juno cleared his throat. “That’s not why.”
Nureyev frowned. “What do you mean?”
“I need new clothes because none of mine fit anymore.”

Summary
The language of his planet wasn’t exactly the most difficult for Peter Nureyev to part with. Anything that reminded him of the comforts of home was strategically suppressed with time and careful practice. In fact, any strange or telling comforts were suppressed as well.
Only after several months aboard the Carte Blanche did he realize he was laughing at streams he insisted that he hated and listening to music he’d long since spurned, if not for a specific alias. Even though a part of him felt more trapped than ever, it was at constant war with the urge to relax, and he had to say, it often felt like the urge to relax was winning.

Summary
The melody smelled like the wafting scent of flowers from somewhere near and tasted like cool, spring air upon his tongue. Nureyev has a feeling it would sound best with birdsong and the faint, distant buzz of a public square. The melody was as sweet as it was melancholic, a taste of nostalgia, bottled and fermented and distilled to just the right potency to make his chest ache and his heart stop dead in its tracks.
“Juno,” he began.“When you looked in my head, what did you see?”
