He’s a good cook when he needs to be, which means that Cheng Xiaoshi rummaging through the cabinets in search of extra condiments to pour into his work is both unnecessary and a little insulting.
The knife is still in Lu Guang’s hand when he feels arms wrapping around his waist from behind. A bony chin descends onto his shoulder.
“Idiot,” Lu Guang accuses. “I’m holding a knife.”
“Okay.” Cheng Xiaoshi exhales next to his ear, but he doesn’t let go. “We don’t have any chili oil.”
