    I've recently been unexpectedly promoted to lead a department in my organisation, wrote the anonymous emailer.

     

    As there was no one working here when I arrived, my manager, who is head of the organisation, had promised me the choice of my own assistants. However, without warning, he simply presented me with an additional assistant. This new assistant’s first act on his first day was to let a dog into the office. It took several hours to catch and clean up after this dog and it has only been downhill from there. I admit I'm not entirely sure what to do with this assistant now I'm stuck with him. I'm hoping you have some advice?

    Loved the first few chapters for the interesting super power concept alone, but the world building (which is usually something I love in fanfics) gets a bit too dense and keeping track of new characters gets difficult in later chapters. I dropped off around Ch10, will probably take another swing at it when it's finished.

    Harry takes the train out of that white void, expecting to meet Death, and instead ends up on the Hogwarts Express at the beginning of his second year. Also he’s Luna Lovegood now.

    I'm not a big Star Trek fan and don't know anything about the canon of what happened on Tarsus, but the writing in this story is *excellent*. The kind of fic where the author could easily file off the serial numbers and have a top rated original work.

    Harry isn’t the Boy-Who-Lived, but his parents still died, and Albus Dumbledore, concerned that Death Eaters might seek the boy’s death, cast a powerful charm on him to make wizards ignore him before Harry was left with the Dursleys. Except, with the Elder Wand in play, the charm was far too powerful, and made others essentially forget Harry existed when not directly interacting with him. Sorted into Ravenclaw at Hogwarts, Harry lives a contented life with no one either loving or hating him…until the charm breaks on his seventeenth birthday, and he’s suddenly plunged directly into the middle of a living world at war.
