Summary
This is the story of three adults to whom life hasn't always been kind, figuring out how to be kind, open, and sexy with each other.
My partner asked for a story in which Duncan and Jimmy bring a woman home together. I gave it waaay too much thought. It's Willow. I love her. I love her on the show and especially in the books, so I wove in her book life to the degree that it didn't contradict the show, then added a lil extra life.
It's set about a year after the end of season 5 and "A Fixed Point in the World". Our OTP have been happily cohabiting since then.
Chapter Ratings:
1-2 T
3-4 M
5 E!
6-7 MThe title is borrowed from Robert Fergusson's 1750 comic poem celebrating the period between Yule and the beginning of the New Year. Full text can be found at the end of the final chapter.

Another installment of how two newly-liberated ineffable beings spent their COVID year:
Doing good makes Aziraphale peppy, but it tires Crowley out! After a night of lockdown-related minor miracles, the angel reads religious poetry while the demon snoozes. Or is he just reading porn? In any case, Crowley wakes up, a little.

Summary
This is my version of the evening post-finale of Season 5, when Duncan shows Jimmy his 'mood board.'
“And am here tae tell you, Jimmy, you’re allowed tae want things that don’ make sense.”
Unrepentant sentimentality, talkin pish, heartfelt smut.

Summary
I read all the beautiful works in the Jimmy/Duncan tag in an embarrassingly short interval. And I thought I was going to write an angsty, windswept slow burn. But I couldn't stop thinking about elizajane's Wandering Home series, and specifically the following:
Duncan lets his eyes reverse the path of Jimmy's gaze, tracing down across Jimmy's kiss-stained lips, past the blooming hickey at the base of his throat, across the nipples that, yeah, Duncan definitely plans on seeing pierced, down the trail of pale blond hair of Jimmy's belly to the V of his open zip, the fullness there beneath thin cotton briefs.
And it turned out nothing else was getting written until Jimmy got his nipple pierced. So that's what this is. Thank you to elizajane and everybody who checks on/reads/writes this tag, it is a perfect gem of a fandom.
*edit* Just realized I also mixed in a reference to a plot point in elfin's excellent "Long, Winding Roads" series. Particularly:
‘I’m fine. I figured it couldn’t hurt more than being stabbed, and I was right.’ That's what happens when you read all the fic at once. They're great stories, ok?

Summary
Darnell nodded, glancing over Robby like he was trying to place him in the hierarchy of important to ignorable and it could go either way. "What's this?"
"MSF FNG," Jack shot back. Whatever that meant, he sounded amused.
Darnell scoffed and looked to Robby, expression going decidedly unimpressed. "Oh, yeah? You here to find yourself? Have an adventure? Do something hard?" he asked, each question more mocking than the last.
And there was that question again, like it was haunting Robby. He stifled his instinct to bite back and kept it simple: "I'm here to help."

Summary
“I appreciate you sharing that with me,” Robby slowly says, picking his words with care. “Objectively, and with love, that’s the saddest defense of therapy I’ve ever heard.”
“It worked. How about I buy you a drink after each session? The bar’s close to the therapist’s office.”
“You’ve got better things to do on your day off.”
“Not really,” Abbot says, and he smiles at Robby’s surprise. “The nachos aren’t half bad.”
---
After months of ducking and digging in heels, Robby finally starts seeing a therapist. Abbot's therapist. It's inadvisable, sure, but it seems to be working. At least, until their deepening relationship dredges up feelings which Abbot thought had died with his husband.Bookmarked by fearoflying

Summary
It’s comical. Or, it would be comical if it wasn’t happening to him. Six months after Samira Mohan badged out of her final shift at the Pitt, it has become kind of, sort of comical that she will respond to everyone’s text messages and emails but Jack's own.
Or, Samira Mohan has a history of reading relationships wrong.

Summary
“Work relaxes me, Mohan,” Abbot says, not quite chiding, his tone a shade warmer. He leans his hip against her workstation, ducking his head until she looks at him. “If I’m not at work, I’m trying to find a reason to come back to work. Let me read your article. I’ll be nice to you about it, not just because someone should, but because I can tell you without even reading it that it’s good.”
“You cannot possibly know that,” Samira blurts out.
He looks at her with an expression that’s stuck halfway between inquisitive and amused; the left side of his mouth threatens a smile. “Sure I can. I know you.”
++
Abbot and Mohan flirt in the Google Doc comments of her unpublished article. Abbot takes it upon himself to instruct Mohan on how to accept praise.
