Summary
FTL AU. Enchanted Forest. Pre dark curse.
After war with the Dark leaves its mark on her kingdom, Queen Snow sues for peace. In a show of good faith, Snow offers her daughter, Princess Emma, to her enemy in hopes of gaining a favorable position in peace negotiations. And a heavy purse.
Under the Old Laws, the marriage would be strictly platonic in nature and symbolic in appearance. The political union would calm the peasantry, who suffered the most in years past.
At least, that’s the surface level plan.
In reality, Snow hopes to put an end to her stepmother’s life and unite the land under one crown. Once she reclaims her father’s throne, and his coveted trade routes, she would then wed off her ungrateful daughter to some advantageous place or another, further solidifying the White Kingdom’s stronghold and subsequent expansion in the Enchanted Forest.
But when the formerly titled “Evil Queen” journeys to the White Kingdom for an extended stay, things don’t go as she planned. Her naive daughter worsens the White’s position. Even worse, Emma has a secret that further complicates things.
Dark forces are at play. Anger. Betrayal. Hurt. Sex. Do villains deserve a HEA?
